St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Parish is a parish that is focused on the principle of tithing. Because of this, it remains one of the only parishes to host a Catholic school free of tuition. From the generosity of its parishoners to its wise financial mindset to the leadership of Father Haney, the K-8 school remains free to the children of the parish. Without a tithing foundation, this would have never been possible. The 'Miracle on Greenridge Drive' lives on because of the strong relationship between the church, the school, and the community. Not only does St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin support a tuition free school, but it provides financial, spiritual, and physical assistance to many groups and individuals as well. It has been said that it takes a village to raise a child, and so it can be said that it takes a parish to help raise our children...and comfort the sick, and support the poor, and improve the community. We are proud to be St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Parish.
